Back In Beijing
We are back in Beijing, and back in the Athletes’ village. There is a huge line up for the internet here in the village, and I am already missing the peace and quiet of our hotel in Tianjin.

I am also very tired today, and I don’t think I am alone on our team. I think everyone is pretty much exhausted from yesterday’s exertions on the pitch, and, as a result, we are all a little snappier than usual with one another.

After our arrival at the Village, we were ravenous and ate a very late lunch. Then we had about two hours to take a little lie down before workout time. We were told that this workout was not going to be anything heavy, a “flush” session mostly. However, we were told that it would include a jog to the gym followed by biking, ab work and some upper body work. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperative.
