BMO Supports Soccer from the Grass Up
When it comes to supporting soccer in Canada, BMO is the leader in the marketplace.

BMO’s commitment to soccer is seen in thousands of neighbourhoods and communities across Canada. More than 400 youth soccer teams in 50 clubs proudly wear BMO while they compete in house leagues in every province.

BMO extends its support of soccer to the elite levels with the BMO National Championships for up-and-coming youth players, and on the international field, where BMO sponsors the Canadian National team.

In Vancouver, BMO has been a proud partner of the Whitecaps since 2005. In Toronto, BMO is naming rights sponsor of BMO Field, Canada’s National Soccer Stadium and home to Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC. BMO is the premier partner of Toronto FC, proudly competing with BMO on their jerseys.

In 2009, BMO launched The BMO Soccer Spirit Awards honouring youth soccer players across the country who exhibit characteristics like sportsmanship, integrity, dedication and passion for the sport.

Langley FC, a Langley BC community girls soccer club, has over 1200 members on over 100 teams. LFC offers recreational and competitive opportunities for all female soccer athletes regardless of age and ability.

LFC players range in age from 5 years old and up, and play in levels from recreational house teams to competitive rep, metro, and women’s premier teams. Their primary playing season runs from September to March but several teams also play in Spring/Summer leagues.

LFC is dedicated to the development of the individual as a person, as part of a team, and as a soccer athlete overall. They have a long history of successfully developing soccer athletes from our club who are consistently selected for provincial teams, university teams and other high caliber teams.

LFC players have been selected for international training camps such as the 2009/2010 Super-Y ODP National Camps in Florida. Many have gone on to receive scholarships to play at college or university, join other senior club teams, and even play with the Team Canada national team. BMO Sponsored Soccer Clubs
BMO’s commitment to grassroots soccer includes sponsoring more than 50 clubs and 400 teams playing in communities across Canada.

The focus for BMO is on U7-U9 boys and girls teams within each club. Funding from BMO helps supply uniforms for the players; and coaches on BMO-sponsored teams receive the BMO Coach’s Kit with equipment to aid them in their team’s practices.
