Edmonton and Ajax Win U14 Cups
Alberta’s Edmonton Juventus boys and Ontario’s Ajax Strikers girls won the U-14 Cup at the 2009 BMO National Championships in Sydney, NS. Edmonton Juventus won 4-2 on kicks from the penalty mark after an 0:0 draw with Ontario’s Markham Lightning in the boys final. Ajax, meanwhile, won 3:0 in the girls final over British Columbia’s Semiahmoo Thunder.

Quebec Clubs Triumph At adidas U16 Cup
The Conquérants de Laval and Royal-Sélect de Beauport won the adidas U-16 Cup at the 2009 BMO National Championships in Winnipeg, MB. The Québec teams dominated their opposition on the final day as Laval won 4:0 over Alberta’s South West United and the Royal won 8:0 over Ontario’s Ajax United Magic.

Calgary Wins Double Gold At Sony U18 Cup
Alberta’s Calgary Foothills Crew men and Calgary Foothills Athletics women won the Sony U-18 Cup at the 2009 BMO National Championships in Sherwood Park, AB. The Crew won 7:1 over Niagara Falls Titans in the men’s final while the Athletics won 2:1 over Burnaby United in the women’s final.

Edmonton Victoria Wins Jubilee Trophy
Alberta’s Edmonton Victoria has won the Jubilee Trophy at the 2009 BMO National Championships in Saskatoon, SK. Edmonton won 5-4 on kicks from the penalty mark after a 0:0 draw with Surrey United in the final match. It is Edmonton’s third Jubilee Trophy championship in six years.

Hellas SC Wins Challenge Trophy
Manitoba’s Hellas SC has won the Challenge Trophy at the 2009 BMO National Championships in Saskatoon, SK. Hellas SC won 1:0 over Royal de Beauport in the final match. It is Winnipeg’s Hellas SC’s first Challenge Trophy championship.

Vancouver’s Columbus FC Masters and Québec’s Eurocan Dorval-Outremont struck gold at the Western Masters and Classics in Edmonton, AB while Markham Lightning won gold at the Eastern Masters in Vaughan, ON.
