Bryst 2009: Steve Payne Hired By Australia Football
Bryst Staff Coach, Steve Payne, has been hired by the Australian Football Federation as the Technical Director/Game Development Manager for Tasmania. Steve will start his new fulltime position on September 1.
Payne has had a great impact at Bryst. He started with Bryst in 2003 when he worked in the Indoor Programs and Summer Camps. Over the last four years, Steve has held the head coach post of several BFA teams.
Steve came to Bryst from the OSA Provincial Teams Program with a CSA B License and Brazilian A License. He has since gone on to obtain his UEFA A and Pro License through the Irish Football Association. Steve is the only coach in Canada with a UEFA Pro License.
Over the last few years, Steve has spent many weeks in Brazil working with Cruzeiro Football Club and their youth and senior teams. This has allowed him the opportunity to bring a lot of the Brazilian player development ideas back to Canada to implement in the Bryst system. He was recently invited by the Montreal Impact of the USL to conduct a coaching conference on these ideas.
All the staff and players at Bryst wish Steve all the best in his new soccer venture.
Bryst, A Short History
BRYST International was initially created in 1996 to provide a professional training and educational environment for elite soccer coaches through exposure to top level international coaches.
By 1998, Bryst expanded to include Elite Player training programs both indoors and outdoors to supplement Club activities for players who were interested in developing themselves to a higher level.
Today, with the addition of our own full time Academy Teams Program, Bryst is a leader in player development.
Bryst offers various programs for players of all skill levels and ages, either to supplement a player’s club activites for further development, or to provide a full-time, professional training environment year round.
