1912
May 24 — Dominion of Canada Football Association founded in Toronto.
July 9 — First annual meeting held in Winnipeg.

1923
October 15 — Association incorporated as a Company without share capital, by letters patent, issued by the Secretary of State of Canada, under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1917.

1952
June 6 — Name changed by supplementary letters patent from the Dominion of Canada Football Association to the Football Association of Canada. Change made in conformity to Canada’s new status as a self-governing nation.

1957
June 7 — Name changed by supplementary letters patent from The Football Association of Canada to The Canadian Soccer Football Association. Change thought advisable to be more distinct, due to the similarity of the names Canadian Football (Rugby) and Canadian Football (Soccer).

1971
July 7 — Name changed by supplementary letters patent from The Canadian Soccer Football Association to today’s, The Canadian Soccer Association.
