Canada’s National Teams summer broadcast schedule
Fans across Canada will have the opportunity to cheer on Canada’s National Teams from the comfort of their home this summer.

Men’s National Team
The Men’s National Team continues its battle in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011. Canada matches can be watched live on Sportsnet One or online at sportsnet.ca and concacaf.com

Women’s National Team
From 26 June to 17 July, Canada will be competing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™. Soccer enthusiasts from across the country will get the chance to follow the team live on CBC. Additional coverage of the competition will be available on Sportsnet One and Sportsnet Regional.

Men’s U-17 National Team
Canada is heading to Mexico for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which runs from 18 June to 10 July. Every Canada match will be streamed live on CBCSports.ca and broadcast on BOLD. Encore presentations will also be available on CBC television.

Women’s National Team
Women’s National Team Compensation Update
The Canadian Soccer Association has announced that the Association and Canada’s Women’s National Team have entered into an agreement for the years 2011 and 2012. This agreement resolves the current compensation issue between the Canadian Soccer Association and Canada’s Women’s National Team.

“The Canadian Soccer Association is pleased that we have reached a resolution and we look forward to supporting the Women’s National Team at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™ as well as the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualification Tournament in Vancouver and the London 2012 Olympic Games,” said Canadian Soccer Association General Secretary Peter Montopoli.

Canadian Soccer Association and Head Coach Carolina Morace Agree to Terms
The Canadian Soccer Association reported today that Carolina Morace has agreed to remain in her role as Head Coach of Canada’s Women’s National Team through to the 2012 London Olympic Games. Morace will also continue in her role as the Head Coach of the Women’s U-20 National Team.

Canada’s Women’s National Team will continue to train in Europe before arriving in Germany on 19 June for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011. Canada will open the competition against Germany on 26 June in Berlin. For more details on the team’s schedule and results, visit CanadaSoccer.com.

Men’s U17 National Team
Canada announces roster before FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011
Canada has announced its squad in advance of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011. Coach Sean Fleming has selected 23 players that will travel to Pachuca, Mexico on Wednesday 8 June to make final preparations before the team’s opening match on 19 June.

This will mark Canada’s fifth participation in a FIFA U-17 World Cup. Canada’s three group opponents are Uruguay on 19 June, England on 22 June and Rwanda on 25 June. All three of Canada’s group matches will be played in Pachuca. With 24 teams in the competition, either two or three teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16 which is scheduled 29-30 June.

“It will be a great challenge,” said Canadian U-17 head coach Sean Fleming. “The team has prepared to the best of its ability and now we hope to give a good showing for Canada.”

As part of Canada’s run-up to the opening match, it will face both Ecuador (11 June) and Australia (13 June) in Men’s U-17 International Friendly matches.

Canada qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in February before finishing second at the CONCACAF Men’s Under-17 Championship. Canada won four-straight matches before losing to USA in the championship final. USA, Canada, Panama, Jamaica and host Mexico all qualified for this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011 runs this 18 June to 10 July in seven cities across Mexico. Final rosters for all 24 competing teams will be posted this 13 June on FIFA.com.
