PICTURE GOAL BY THOMAS BEATTIE GIVES LONDON CITY THE TIE
Hamilton Croatia and Galaxy remain unbeaten with 2-2 tie
FC Hamilton Croatia recovered from a 2-0 deficit late in the first half to tie Brantford Galaxy 2-2 at Brian Timmis Stadium in Hamilton, while London City and Serbian White Eagles played to a 1-1 tie at Cove Road in London, two games in the CSL Friday night.
Uros Stamatovic opened the scoring for Serbian White Eagles just 3 minutes into the game when he drove the ball past London keeper Scott Mueller from 6 yards and London tied the game on a picture goal by midfielder Thomas Beattie at 28 minutes. Beattie struck a free kick from the edge of the penalty box into the top right corner, a drive that left Serbian Eagles’ goalkeeper Milos Kocic with no chance on the save.
Forward Miodrag Andjolkovic gave Brantford the lead at the 30th minute mark against Hamilton Croatia and the Galaxy went ahead 2-0 two minutes later when Drazen Govic scored from 35 yards.
