GALAXY WIN SUNDAY, SERBIAN EAGLES TIE WITH SHOOTERS
Two games washed out

Weather played havoc with games in the CSL Sunday, with games postponed or abandoned, while in two games that were played, York Regions Shooters and Serbian White Eagles battled to a 1-1 tie and Brantford Galaxy defeated the Astros 4-1.

It was the York Region Shooters vs. Serbian White Eagles game played at Maple that attracted most attention with both teams at the top of the standings and Serbian Eagles struck first with a goal by Stephan Vukovic after 30 minutes for a 1-0 lead at half time.

Forward Jason De Thomasis tied the game for the home side two minutes after the interval, he drove a low shot from 20 yards to beat Eagles’ goalkeeper Milos Kocic and the score held up to the final whistle for a 1-1 tie.
