Information overload as Canadian soccer grapples with fixture congestion
We often hear that the Canadian men’s national team struggles to attract fans because it lacks talent. If only Canada won more games, if only we had a Canadian Lionel Messi (and no, Atiba Hutchinson is not him), we would attract fans by the millions and everything would be okay.
Yet the conversation above, if you’ve ever had it, makes me think there might be more to solidifying Canadian national team fan support than winning games and looking awesome doing it.
