Finally A Plan

CSA sets out on long road to righting its wrongs
As our men’s team struggles to the end of a dreadful World Cup qualifying effort, several of its most illustrious players are screaming dissent, complaining about inadequate coaching, poor tactics and more.
You only had to watch a game to see how dispirited were the likes of Dwayne De Rosario and Julian de Guzman, men of international calibre who should have been leading the on-field way but were too frustrated, it seemed, to summon the effort.
Canada’s qualifying performances have been enough to make the most ardent fan throw in the towel and settle for this country being a recreation-only soccer country where almost a million people play the game, but only for fun. There can be no such thing as a national team to be proud of.
