Laval Comets Score First Victory Of Season

LONDON, ON — Amy Walsh’s 51st minute goal gave the Laval Comets their first win of the 2009 W-League season in a 1-0 shutout of the London Gryphons at North London Stadium Saturday.

Laval is 1-1-0 with three points and in fifth place in the Central Conference, Great Lakes Division. The Comets are at the Hamilton Avalanche Sunday, then host the Quebec City Amiral Wednesday.

London, at 0-2-2 with two points and in sixth place, are at Quebec City next Saturday.
