Seattle vs Colorado
SEATTLE, WA — Fredy Montero’s eighth goal of the season gave Seattle Sounders FC a first-half lead against the run of play, and they tacked on two more in the second half to defeat the visiting Colorado Rapids 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at Qwest Field. Despite some excellent attacking by the visiting Rapids in the first half, a missed penalty and a handful of squandered chances doomed them to defeat.

CARSON, CA — A first-half goal by Todd Dunivant was enough for the LA Galaxy to defeat the visiting Houston Dynamo 1-0 Sunday at The Home Depot Center.

COLUMBUS, OH — Chad Marshall scored near the end of the first half and the Columbus Crew defeated the New York Red Bulls 1-0 on Saturday at Crew Stadium in a rematch of last year’s MLS Cup won by Columbus.

COMMERCE CITY, CO — The Colorado Rapids were within six minutes of seeing their seven-match undefeated streak screech to a halt when Omar Cummings broke in alone on goal and gave them a 1-1 draw with FC Dallas on Wednesday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
