Houston vs Los Angeles
HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy settled nothing in arguably the most anticipated regular season game in Dynamo history. Goalkeepers Pat Onstad and Donovan Ricketts pitched shutouts in front of a near-sellout crowd at Robertson Stadium. Both teams gained a point in the standings after the scoreless draw, creating a three-way tie for first place in the Western Conference standings.

Kansas City vs Seattle
KANSAS CITY, KA — Seattle Sounders FC become the first MLS expansion side since 1998′s Chicago Fire to clinch a playoff spot in their inaugural season, as Nate Jaqua’s 76th-minute goal gave the visiting Sounders FC a wild 3-2 win Saturday against the Kansas City Wizards at CommunityAmerica Ballpark and guaranteed the first-year team became the fifth team to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Dallas vs Colorado
FRISCO, TX — In what was all but a must-win game for both clubs, FC Dallas got goals from a pair of defenders for a 2-1 victory against the Colorado Rapids at Pizza Hut Park. FCD got goals from George John in the fourth minute and Ugo Ihemelu in the 66th before the Rapids got their lone goal from Pat Noonan in the 71st minute.

CARSON, CA — Chivas USA rallied from a goal down to earn a tight 2-2 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night at The Home Depot Center. The Red-and-White got goals from Maykel Galindo and Justin Braun, but were unable to contain a potent Earthquakes attack.

Salt Lake vs New York
SANDY, UT — RSL veteran Andy Williams made certain his team’s postseason plans did not get spoiled. Williams scored in the 80th minute to help Real to a dramatic 2-0 victory at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday night. Fabian Espindola added another goal in the 90th minute to fuel a victory that effectively keeps RSL’s playoff hopes alive with two regular season games remaining.
