After squandering two leads and losing 3-2 to DC United on Saturday, Toronto FC have now lost all three visits to RFK Stadium and have given up 11 goals in the U.S. capital. Of the 12 goals TFC have conceded this season, seven have been at RFK.

“I’ll be honest with you before the game I was a little bit concerned about it. I’ve been here three times now and not won,” said a partially joking Carver, who was also with the Newcastle United side that lost to D.C. United 3-1 on July 22, 2000.

The loss snapped TFC’s 6-game unbeaten streak, but unlike their last visit to Washington, the team is brimming with confidence and regardless of the outcome it appears it will stay that way.

Houston at San Jose
While most homecomings are festive occasions, Thursday’s get-together between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Houston Dynamo was always going to have an element of the bittersweet, given the latter club’s painful departure from San Jose in 2005. But the Quakes duo of Kei Kamara and Ivan Guerrero found a way to erase at least some of those painful memories, as each player scored in the second half to give San Jose a 2-1 win against the city’s former tenants.

New England at Columbus
Kheli Dube scored the only goal of the match in the 89th minute to give the New England Revolution a 1-0 victory against Eastern Conference leaders Columbus Crew on Saturday night at Crew Stadium.

Real Salt Lake at Dallas
Dominic Oduro came off the bench and scored two goals in a nine-minute span to lead FC Dallas to a come-from-behind 2-1 win against Real Salt Lake and give Marco Ferruzzi a victory in his first game as head coach, in a game where both teams were reduced to 10 men.

Chivas at Colorado
Chivas USA is back in contention. Making the most of their few opportunities, they defeated the Colorado Rapids 2-1 via goals from Jesse Marsch and Jorge Flores. After earning only five points in their first seven games, they now find themselves with a two-game winning streak and a place near the top of the crowded Western Conference standings.

Kansas City at Los Angeles
Landon Donovan and David Beckham both returned to the scoring column and Edson Buddle continued his goal scoring form and the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the Kansas City Wizards 3-1 Saturday night at The Home Depot Center.
