NCC Championship 2009: Whitecaps Tickets On Sale

NUTRILITE CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS ON SALE
VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps tickets for the 2009 Nutrilite Canadian Championship have gone on sale.

The Whitecaps will host two matches in the three-club, six-match tournament. Vancouver will take on United Soccer Leagues First Division rivals Montreal Impact at Swangard Stadium on Wednesday, May 27, before hosting Major League Soccer club Toronto FC at Swangard on Tuesday, June 2. Both matches will kick off at 7:30 pm PDT.

The Caps begin their Nutrilite Canadian Championship campaign on May 6 versus Toronto FC at BMO Field in Southern Ontario before traveling to Quebec to face Montreal Impact at Stade Saputo on May 20. The winner of the second edition of the tournament will be awarded the Voyageurs Cup and Canada’s lone spot in the 2009-10 CONCACAF Champions League.

Montreal were the winners of the inaugural Nutrilite Canadian Championship title in 2008, with the Impact going on to reach the quarterfinal stages of the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League earlier this spring.

Whitecaps season tickets are also on sale. Season tickets include all men’s and women’s team regular season and playoff home matches at Swangard Stadium, Nutrilite Canadian Championship home matches against Montreal Impact and Toronto FC, as well as priority listing for Vancouver MLS 2011 in BC Place.
