Ajax Magic Win 2011 U12 Boys Ontario Cup
VAUGHAN, ON — The Under 12 Boys opened the weekend’s Ontario Cup Finals under a sunny blue sky and a pleasant 23 degrees Celcius at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan.
Ajax Madrid faced the Brampton Blast and Brampton did not wait long to take control of the match, taking the lead in the 3rd minute through #18 Daniel Golding who outran the Ajax defence for a breakaway and finished cleanly to put the Blast on the scoreboard.
Vaughan Azzurri Win 2011 U14 Boys Ontario Cup
VAUGHAN, ON – In the second match of this 2011 Ontario Cup Finals weekend at the Ontario Soccer Centre, the U14 Boys Division finalists met to not only decide the Provincial Champion, but also to determine Ontario’s representative at the National Club Championships in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland later this October.
This U14 Boys Final was an all-York Region affair featuring the Kleinburg Nobleton Lions and the Vaughan Azzurri.
Erin Mills Eagles Win 2011 U16 Boys Tier 1 Ontario Cup
VAUGHAN, ON – On a day with weather more suited to July than September, the Under 16 Boys Tier 1 Ajax FC Gunners and the Erin Mills Eagles met in the Ontario Cup Final.
Both teams started the game with strong pressure to score the opening goal.
Ajax Strikers Win 2011 U17 Boys Tier 1 Ontario Cup
VAUGHAN, ON – The Under 17 Boys Tier 1 Final saw the Mississauga Dixie Lions face the Ajax Strikers 94.
Both teams met in the 2010 U16 Boys Tier 1 Ontario Cup Final with Ajax the defending Champions, so the return match promised to be a firecracker of a game with Mississauga primed to prove their mettle.
Markham Lightning Win 2011 Ontario Masters Championship
VAUGHAN, ON – The Over-35 Men were the last Division to decide their Provincial Championship on Saturday, kicking off under the lights at 8:00 pm.
The Sarnia Bluewater Alumni took on the Markham Lightning for the chance to go to Prince Edward Island for the Eastern Masters Championships in October.
