Points Needed At HDC

TORONTO, ON — If the old adage about an animal being at its most dangerous when it’s wounded is true, then Toronto FC might be entering into the den at exactly the wrong time on Saturday night at The Home Depot Center. The Los Angeles Galaxy are a tough opponent in any case given their fourth-place position in the overall league table, but the Galaxy should be especially fired up on Saturday in the aftermath of a 6-3 home-field thrashing at the hands of FC Dallas last weekend.

It was the first time in club history that Los Angeles had given up six goals — a surprising defensive collapse for a club that entered last Saturday tied for the second-lowest goals allowed total in MLS.

“To see Dallas go to L.A. and beat them that badly was crazy,” said Toronto captain Jim Brennan. “We know L.A. is going to be up for it, they’re going to try to make a mark. We’ve got to go there and play like we did against Seattle, get at them, get our chances and finish them. We need three points in that game.”
