With weather conditions always going to be a factor in Saturday’s Major League Soccer match-up between Toronto FC and Chicago Fire, it was TFC who adapted more effectively. As a result of a determined, well organized approach they deservedly beat Chicago Fire 4-1 at BMO field.

If Preki was culpable last week for a questionable decision with leaving two of his star players on the bench against Real Salt Lake, there was no doubting his approach and management of the game against Chicago, which was near perfect.

Extreme windy conditions made it difficult for both teams to settle into a consistent pattern of play. So much so in fact, it became a tactical game of two polarized approaches in each half.
