About that playoff chase
TFC fans can be forgiven today if they are barely repressing an urge to drive to Columbus and burn Crew Stadium to the ground.* Even when Toronto isn’t playing the yellow football team, they somehow manage to get the better of the Reds. No one expected Seattle to grab three points this weekend, ending Columbus’ home winning streak. Well, no on e but the Sounders, I suspect. But…

And with the win Seattle all but clinches its spot in the MLS Cup playoffs. They stand at 41 points. I suspect 42 is the magic number. You would think that they will find another point between now and then.

That result, combined with a Chivas’ win against DC United’s and New England’s failure to truly capitalize on its games in hand, puts the race for the final few playoff spots in clearer view.
