London City Soccer Club, a fixture in professional soccer in the Canadian Soccer League since 1973 and the longest uninterrupted professional soccer club in North America, has been sold to out-of-town interests.

Tihomir Maletić, a prolific striker with CSL champions Toronto Croatia, was presented the league’s MVP for the second year in succession at the CSL awards night.

Toronto Croatia won the CSL championship with a 1-0 victory over Capital City FC of Ottawa.

Attendance was about 1800 on this very cold, overcast early evening. About 200 were fans from Ottawa.

Attendance was about 175 on this cold night in front of a mainly pro-Croatian crowd. Toronto Croatia held the balance of play in this game.

Toronto Croatia wins two game Quarterfinal 8-1. Croatia now becomes the top seed in the semi-final and will host the York Region Shooters next weekend.

White Eagles won’t know who they’ll play or where they’ll play until the tomorrow’s games takes place.

Shooters win the series and as the eighth seed will play their one game semi-final game on the road.

Attendance was about 300 on this mild night with about 100 Serbian fans in the crowd.
