The Canadian Soccer Association, in conjunction with Umbro Canada, unveiled the new 2012 kits for Canada’s National Teams.

Canada has announced that it will play four matches – a special Centenary match and three FIFA World Cup Qualifiers – at BMO Field in Toronto this 2012 season.

Canada will play all three of its CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches at BMO Field.

Dwayne De Rosario is the male selection for the 2011 BMO Canadian Players of the Year award. Christine Sinclair is the female selection for the 2011 BMO Canadian Players of the Year award.

The Canadian Soccer Association has announced the list of nominees for its 2011 Canada Soccer player awards. Canadian media and coaches will be asked to select two players – one male and one female – for the Canadian Soccer Association’s top prize, the BMO Canadian Players of the Year award. The award will celebrate Canada’s top-two soccer players in recognition of their 2011 achievements with both the national team and their respective club teams.

Canada needs him. He, apparently, now needs Canada. He would be a valuable addition to the national team, perhaps even a game changer.

Where Canada should play its home games has always been a bit of a thorny issue.

Canada has started to learn the lessons the Gold Cup taught, but they’ll need to do their homework in the winter friendlies. If not, they’re going to get schooled in the next round.

Be happy with the win. It was a good thing. But it didn’t “show” the naysayers anything new.

Canada overran the world’s 109th ranked nation 4-0 and won the Round 2 World Cup Qualifier group with 4-0-2 record.
