Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced the launch of a new Whitecaps FC London Youth Academy Centre in partnership with Elgin Middlesex Soccer Association (EMSA). The new academy centre will be based out of London, Ontario. This will be the first Whitecaps FC Academy Centre in Eastern Canada.
GLOBE & MAIL — Danielle Konig is an elite-level youth soccer player in Toronto who had never been injured playing the game she loves – until two years ago, when her under-13 team started using larger, international standard-sized balls. A few weeks after the change, Konig began complaining of soreness in both knees that required ice treatments after games and practices. Her concerned parents eventually booked an appointment with a physiotherapist, who assured them Danielle was experiencing nothing more than mild tendinitis.
The 2013 Canadian Soccer Association National Championships All Stars showcases concluded on 20 July with Ontario winning all four age groups, U-15 Boys and Girls as well as U-16 Boys and Girls.
The Canadian Soccer Association National Championships All Stars showcase kicks off this Tuesday 16 July and will run through 20 July. The week-long competition features many of Canada’s brightest footballers from the U-15 and U-16 levels.
