The Colorado Rapids and Toronto FC meet for the first time this season in the front end of a home-and-home series over the next two weeks that could have massive implications on the postseason ambitions for both clubs.

The Rapids are one of four teams tied for sixth place overall with 33 points, but based on tiebreakers, would be in the MLS Cup Playoffs if the season ended now. Toronto FC are just on the outside, two points behind the four-way tie, yet a week ago both clubs were tied for the final spot in the top eight and a wild card position.
