Toronto FC stalwarts Marvell Wynne and Maurice Edu did not score but were prominent Sunday for the U.S. under-23 team in its 3-3 draw with the Chinese under-23 team at the Yue Xiu Shan Stadium in Guangzhou in a friendly that was part of the preparations for next year’s Olympics.

The teams drew 0-0 in Changsha last Thursday. The U.S. team now has completed its 16-day camp and will reconvene early next month.

Wynne was a key factor in two of the goals that helped the United States take a 3-0 lead in the first half. Edu, Major League Soccer’s rookie of the year in 2007, set up a chance early in the second half that nearly put the U.S. into a four-goal lead before the Chinese team stormed back to earn the draw.
